GM disputes Unifor’s Super Bowl ad that slams automaker as greedy, un-Canadian

The Canadian subsidiary of Basic Motors is attempting to prevent an auto employees union from airing a vital TV industrial all the way through the Tremendous Bowl.

The 30-second advert calling the automaker grasping and “un-Canadian” is scheduled to broadcast on Canadian TV stations all the way through Sunday’s sport.

GM introduced plans in November to near its automobile manufacturing facility in Oshawa, Ont., costing the roles of about 2,600 blue-collar employees.

The economic accuses GM of continuous to make bigger in Mexico whilst leaving Canadians “out within the chilly” and makes claims concerning the prices of a 2009 auto bailout.

GM despatched a cease-and-desist letter to Unifor giving it a Saturday time limit to prevent the use of the advert.

GM says in a remark that the advert is deceptive and erroneous.
